How do we "count" our states RVed?

Update: We're gunning for overnight stays!

Initially, we counted all the states we actually stopped in and experienced during our RV travels. We didn't need to spend a night. But something kept nagging us. We felt like these states weren't "official." So we're now checking off all the states we've spent at least 1 night in. Our total is still 45...and they're all "official!"

Anthony and I are tied for 47 states visited!

Some of the states we checked off separately, but now we've been to all of them together. Our only 3 remaining states are Alaska, Hawaii, and North Dakota.
